1. I?beat you to it.
beat somebody to it:
比某人搶先一步做了某事。
?I was just about to open some wine but I see you've beaten me to it.
我剛想開瓶酒呢，看來你搶在我前頭開了啊。
2. Jimmy?stood me up?last night.
stand someone up:
放某人鴿子；爽約。
?He stood up his date while he played basketball with the guys.
他因為和基友們打籃球，放了女朋友的鴿子。
3. It will come to me.
it will come to someone:
會想起來的。當你在忘了什么事的時候，可以說這句話。
?It'll come to you. The minute you stop trying to find it, it will find you.
你會想起來的。你不去費勁去找它的時候，它就會自動出現。
4. Just?a heads up.
a heads up:
給某人提個醒，提前告知一聲。
“Heads up”說法來自體育運動，在扔球前，讓對方抬頭，別被砸著。后來廣泛用于社交場合。
?Just a heads up?- we're going to have to meet soon.
先跟你說一聲，我們很快會見面的。
5. You?might want to?reconsider it.
you might want to (do something):
建議某人做某事的禮貌說法。適用于各種場合，是對陌生人、同事或親密的人都可以用的句法。
?Babe,?you might want to?trim that beard...
親愛的，你是不是該修修胡子啦……類似地，告誡對方不要做某事，可以說，you don't want to...
?You don't want to?rush things.
不要操之過急。
6. I?was like, "What?!"
(someone) was like...
口語中用于表達某人的一種反應，比如說的話或思想活動。
? I saw it on her face –?she was like?"Yo,
leave me out of this!"
7. We?nailed it!
nailed it
圓滿完成某件事，或說得完全正確。Nail本意是釘釘子。
?That's so true.?He's nailed it.
確實如此，他的觀點一針見血。
Kill it也可以指事情完成得超乎意料地好。

8. I?couldn't agree more.
couldn’t agree more
“不能更同意”，表示強烈同意對方的觀點。
強烈不同意也能說couldn't disagree more。

-完全贊同。
9. Who are you to talk?
who... to talk?
表示某人沒有資格發表意見或批評別人，因為他/她自己也做得不夠好。
?He's so disorganized.?But who am I to talk??I can't even keep track of what day of the week it is.
他超級迷糊。不過我也好不到哪去，我連今天是星期幾都搞不清。
10. Don't get?all?impatient.
在口語表達中，形容詞前加一個all，可以增強感情色彩，通常是表達負面情緒。
?He gave me his old computer, but it's?all old and crappy.
他把自己的舊電腦給我用，但是那電腦又老又破。
11. You bet!
you bet
意思是“You can bet money on that”（你可以壓錢賭一把），說明你完全同意對方的觀點、提議等。

12. What??That's nuts!
That's nuts!
Nuts是非常口語化的表達，表示“crazy”瘋了。
?-We hiked 45 miles in two days.
我們兩天徒步走了45英里。

哇~太瘋狂了！真的嗎？
13. Oh,?that sucks!
(something) sucks
在談論糟糕的、讓人失望的、不幸的事情 時，人們常用這個表達。正式場合慎用。

我的電腦糟糕透了！我要買個新的。
14. I'm?keeping my options open.
keep one's options open:
等待中，尚未做決定。Option是選擇、選項。
?I want to?keep my options open, so I didn't sign the contract yet.
我想再等等看，所以還沒簽合同。

due:
通常指交作業、交賬單的最后期限。
?When is this paper?due?
論文要什么時候交？
另外，如果due的對象是人，那么意思多半指預產期。

16. There is just no such thing as?God.

某種情況是不存在的。
?There's no such thing as love. It's just fantasy.
根本沒有“愛情”這回事。不過是你的幻想而已。
17. I?get yelled at?all the time.
get yelled at:
字面意思就是被人吼，被人罵。指受到批評、責罵。
?I?got yelled at?for not calling.
我沒打電話，被罵了。
18. It's on me.
it's on me:
我來付賬。也可以說，This one's on me.
?John: Check, please.
你好，結賬。
Bill: No,?it's on me this time.
別啊，這頓我請。

act up
（疾病）發作；（機器）出毛病；（孩子）調皮搗蛋。

表示隨便看看，是購物時遇到推銷的導購，最好的回答。

22. Busboy
餐館勤雜工
??He was a busboy, a dishwasher, a caterer? and a manager.
他曾是餐館勤雜工、洗碗工、酒席承辦者和經理。
23. Dry goods
紡織品
?The floor was stacked high with bales of dry goods.
地板上高高地堆放著許多包紡織品。
24. Wash one's hands
上廁所
?Where can I wash my hands?
請問洗手間在哪里？
這個委婉表達屬于美國用法，如果在歐洲這么問，別人可能會直接理解為字面意思。類似的表達還有，Where can I?powder my nose?英式英語中，spend a penny可以作為“上廁所”的委婉語。
又：wash one's hands?of?something /?? someone表示金盆洗手，和某事、某人斷絕關系。

人身攻擊

你非要攻擊她的新發型嗎？
26. All right, whatever.?Suit yourself.
Suit yourself:隨你便吧，你自己決定。這 可以是中性的表達，但如果語氣重一點，就是在說，愛咋咋地，我不管了。

我今晚太累，不想出去玩了。

(someone) is out of it：指某人不在狀態。
?You seem kind of?out of it?today.
你今天看起來好像不太在狀態啊。

cut it out：當別人在做一些令你心煩的事情，你就可以讓他cut it out，意思就是你能停下來嗎。
??I'm sick of that joke.?Cut it out, will you?
我不喜歡那個玩笑，你能不能別說了？

表示隨便看看，是購物時遇到推銷的導購，最好的回答。

hear someone out:
聽某人說完他想說的，或者，傾聽某一方的說法。
