What is a good method that deals with troubles in our life?
In my opinion, a good method must have two properties. One is that we feel comfortable during the formulation and execution of the method. The other is that we can get what we want in the end.
Why are these two properties?
As a human being, one part of our brain handles emotions such as happy, pleasure, sad, depressed. The other part of it takes care of rationality such as logic, decision, judgement. The good method should be satisfied with the two.
For example, the progress bar in the computer interface design is a good one. Perhaps, we can image that users might feel anxious and helpless if there is nothing to display on the screen. And they ask, ” what the hell is going on out during the process?”
Thus, the word “He Qing He Li”, a Chinese idiom interprets perfectly the meaning.
To the extend, endeavor in our life should aim to the two properties. In the other words, it satisfies the need of our brain.
