Wait on the Lord, and keep his way,
And he shall exalt thee to inherit the land;
When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a green bay tree;
Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not;
Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
等待上帝的指示，按照他的吩咐走，
他將提拔你，讓你繼承土地的饒富；
邪惡之人將被鏟除，你會看到。
我目睹邪惡之人勢力很大，
像一棵枝繁葉茂的月桂樹四處延伸；
人們從那里經過，定睛看去他已不見；
我也把他尋找，可是無法找到。
