I have just moved to a house in Bridge Street. Yesterday a beggar knocked at my door. He asked me for a meal and a glass of beer. In return for this, the begga r stood on his head and sang songs. I gave him a meal. He ate the food and drank the beer. Then he put a piece of cheese in his pocket and went away. Later a neighbour told me about him. Everybody knows him. His name is Percy Buttons. He calls at every house in the street once a month and always asks for a meal and a glass of beer.

/e /
是單元音前元音，這個音標(biāo)在英式音標(biāo)中的符號是/e/，美式音標(biāo)與之對應(yīng)的發(fā)音符號是/?/。發(fā)音方法:
1）嘴唇向兩側(cè)微微分開，上下齒之間大約可容納一個小指頭尖的距離。
2）舌前部在發(fā)音過程中抬起，舌尖稍微接觸下齒背。
3）發(fā)音時下巴逐漸向下移動，震動聲帶，發(fā)出/e/音。
下面例出發(fā)/e/音的字母或字母組合的單詞，多聽發(fā)音并練習(xí)。
a、字母e在重讀開音節(jié)中發(fā)[i?],在重讀閉音節(jié)通常發(fā)[e],例詞：check /t?ek/， fresh /fre?/
b、字母組合ea在重讀音節(jié)中不僅可以發(fā)[i:]音，也可以發(fā)[e]的音，在什么情況下發(fā)[i:]或[e]沒有特定規(guī)則需要在平時學(xué)習(xí)中分別記憶,例詞： health /helθ/ bread /bred/

今天收到了紙質(zhì)版的音標(biāo)學(xué)習(xí)用書《賴世雄美語音標(biāo)》，這本書簡單易懂，內(nèi)容也很清楚沒有把音標(biāo)講的太復(fù)雜，很適合作為基礎(chǔ)入門教材，剛好結(jié)合Podcast上的這個節(jié)目，每天很短的時間就可以完成一個音標(biāo)的學(xué)習(xí)。
