課文內(nèi)容：

The plane was late and detectives were waiting at the airport all morning. They were expecting a valuable parcel of diamonds from South Africa. A few hours earlier, someone had told the police that thieves would try to steal the diamonds. When the plane arrived, some of the detectives were waiting inside the main building while others were waiting on the airfield. Two men took the parcel off the plane and carried it into the Customs House. While two detectives were keeping guard at the door, two others opened the parcel. To their surprise, the precious parcel was full of stones and sand!

/e/

是單元音前元音，這個音標在英式音標中的符號是/e/，美式音標與之對應(yīng)的發(fā)音符號是[?]。發(fā)音方法：

1）嘴唇向兩側(cè)微微分開，上下齒之間大約可容納一個小指頭尖的距離。

2）舌前部在發(fā)音過程中抬起，舌尖稍微接觸下齒背。

3）發(fā)音時下巴逐漸向下移動，震動聲帶，發(fā)出/e/音。

下面例出發(fā)/e/音的字母或字母組合的單詞，多聽發(fā)音并練習(xí)。

a、字母e在重讀開音節(jié)中發(fā)[i?],在重讀閉音節(jié)通常發(fā)[e],例詞：

send /send/ vt. 發(fā)送? fresh /fre?/ adj. 新鮮的

b、字母組合ea在重讀音節(jié)中不僅可以發(fā)[i:]音，也可以發(fā)[e]的音，在什么情況下發(fā)[i:]或[e]沒有特定規(guī)則需要在平時學(xué)習(xí)中分別記憶,例詞：

health /helθ/ n. 健康bread /bred/ n. 面包

【練習(xí)感悟】

今天，在學(xué)習(xí)音標的基礎(chǔ)/ ? /上把《字母的讀法》和《復(fù)習(xí)字母的讀法》這兩節(jié)也一并完成了。有些問題看似很小，比如C、W等字母的發(fā)音，如果從字母這里沒有重視，就會直接影響到后期的單詞發(fā)音，而且等到時發(fā)現(xiàn)再重頭糾音就會很麻煩。當(dāng)我們把每個字母、每個音標的發(fā)音都夯實了，自然會有準確地道的發(fā)音。
